Make Your Own Rolling Pin

I don’t know about you, but the rolling pin that I somehow ended up with in my house always bothered me. Maybe you know the kind I am talking about. The kind with the short handles that just get in your way and it just isn’t long enough. Well say no to these store bought rolling pins and make your own.

Materials

  • 1.5” dowel, cut to the desired length (24” minimum (my opinion))

  • Sandpaper (120 grit and 300 grit)

  • Mineral oil

Directions

  1. Sand the dowel first with 120 grit and then 300 grit

  2. Clean the rolling pin (make sure all the dust is removed)

  3. Apply mineral oil

That’s all there is to it.
